Product Description

400W LED High Bay - Flood Light Replacement for 1000W to 2000W Metal Halide

Specification of Industrial - Commercial 400W High Bay - LITE-LU-400W

The LITE-PD-HB-400W flood light is a specialized industrial grade commercial flood light or high bay used in applications where day light is required including sports stadiums, factories, loading docks, building/bridge lighting, etc. With 100W to 500W power options and multiple beam angles including 25°, 45°, 60°, 90° and 100° lenses a greater level of lighting control and illumination of the desired target is possible. IP65 Water Proof and Dust Proof Rating.

Also available in 100W, 150W, 200W, 300W and 500W

1000-2000W Equivalent

At 400W and greater than 36,000lm the LITE-PD-HB-400W can meet the lighting requirements of a 1000W to 2000W conventional metal halide flood light.[1] The positioning of the LEDs and the high efficiency of the reflector allows almost 100% light projection towards your courtyard, carpark or warehouse, unlike the sideways mounted and omni-directional bulb of a metal halide which relies on the quality and efficiency of the reflector.

The higher efficiency of the LED projection system and high lumen maintenance (little light degradation < half that of a metal halide) allows up to 70% energy saving to be achieved.

Cree® XLamp® XT-E LEDs

The flood lights consist of the latest generation US designed CREE® XT-E, XM-L or XB-D LEDs depending on specification. US based CREE® is a NASDAQ listed US company and a market leader in the manufacture of LEDs. You could say they are the Nikon of LEDs in that CREE only make LEDs for lighting.

“Cree XLamp XT-E White LEDs are the highest-performance white LEDs available. The XT-E LED delivers twice the lumens-per-dollar of previously available LEDs in the popular XP footprint… Built using the latest generation of Cree's silicon carbide based LED chips that deliver higher flux and efficacy… the XT-E LED delivers up to 148 lumens and 148 lumens per watt in cool white (6000 K), both at 350 mA, 85°C." [2]

Mean Well® HLG Series Drivers – 5 Year Warranty

The XT-E LEDs are driven by 2 separate Mean Well HLG-240H-36A LED Drivers to make up approximately 400W output leaving a reserve of approximately 80W. Backed by a 7 year independent warranty and established in 1982, MeanWell is a leading standard switching power supply manufacturer in the world. The drivers are replaceable and mounted independently from the LEDs on a separate heat sink to permit maximum cooling and increased longevity.

Superior Cooling & Longer Life > 60,000 hours

The Cree XT-E, XM-L and XB-D LEDs alone have an L70 lumen maintenance of greater than 36,300 hours at an LED case temperature of up to 105°C.[3] [5]

In contrast the metal halide has a typical L50 lumen maintenance of only 10,000 hours, that is only 50% of the original light. Therefore, the LEDs last greater than 4 times the life of the metal halide at greater light output and with a theoretical usable life span of approximately 100,000 hours or greater than 30 years at 8 hours per day.[4]

The LEDs are mounted on a patented copper heat pipe cooling system with integrated multi-fined perforated aluminum heat sink. This ensures maximum cooling of both LEDs and power supply to ensure a long system life span of potentially greater than 50,000 hours whilst maintaining near original light output (~70%).

[1] Light comparison will depend on age of existing metal halide flood lights and efficiency of housing reflector.

[3] L70 refers to the time in hours until the lumen output of the LED reduces to 70% of the original output.

[4] This will be dependent on environmental conditions and a maximum operating temperature of 105°C
